Framing Inspection
At this San Antonio Home Framing Inspection, the ceiling joists in the frame are only nailed and butted to the double 2x12 beam in the picture. Joist hangers or a 2x2 ledger strip need to be added to support the joists. Pressure blocks added between the joists are also an acceptable solution. Below the beam at the wall the 2x4 needs to be doubled up to match the width of the beam.
